Artist With an Educational Mission

Education provides young people with a sense of agency and purpose; it can foster the skill sets to overcome adversity and adapt from the education system to the professional and independent world. 

My artistic development over the past 14 years has founded a deep advocacy for the role of the arts in achieving such outcomes. I believe that incorporating art into our understanding of learning in terms of how we experience and connect to the world reveals this vital role. 

This belief has set me on a mission to expand Fresca Bella Studios into an art-education program that focuses on helping teens and young adults develop self awareness, build community, and pursue independent projects. The next several years will be committed to my studio practice, professional development, and graduate studies, working toward the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to develop my program.
